I want to make a Yeti or Bigfoot costume. Maybe using some kind of wool artificial fur or sheep wool. Any direction would be great. I am up for making my own pattern but, would like help about fabric choices or whereto look for said fabric choices. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks-Cyn

Mon, February 11, 2008 - 1:21 PMWell, if you are in LA I would suggest looking downtown... you'll find way too many good fabrics to choose from :) As far as the best fabrics to use, I don't really have a suggestion, I guess it would depend on if you want it to be more breathable for indoor use, or if you are planning to use it to insulate you from a blizzard ;) for the later I would suggest a nice fake fur with a satin-y lining :) -

thanks for the info. I'm looking for maybe some long shearing or dreaded pile faux fur. I have to save up before I go downtown... too much temptation. hehehehe. thanks again for the direction though. -
